GETEX Conferences
Over the 20 years of its existence, GETEX (the Gulf Education and Training Exhibition) has evolved from a student recruitment show to a complete networking forum for the Education Industry. Student Recruitment, Training, Education Technology, Academic Alliances and Cultural Expression, all find place in the GETEX Forum – showcased at the exhibition, as well as at the discussion forums, workshops, seminars and conferences that run concurrent with the exhibition.
In 2007 we introduced the Concurrent Conferences to the GETEX event, and participants were enthusiastic in their appreciation our unique approach and collegial style. Here are some comments:
- It was a nice chance to hear a variety of perspectives. The concept is great. I hope it grows.
- Interesting perspectives were shared and commonality of issues was obvious – an agenda for urgent collaboration and networking
- First time to attend but very impressed
- Great first effort. Looking forward to greater things to come in 2010 and beyond
- Very impressed …
- Moderated discussions are very useful and allow people to voice out comments and questions about topics discussed.
- Excellent format. Do the same again for future events
- Excellent [discussions] – pulled the threads together and gave direction to Q&A session
GETEX 2010 will witness the launch of the Global Conference for Technology & Innovation in Education, a joint initiative between IC&E and the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) , based in Washington, USA.
