GETEX Forums

The Excellence Forums running concurrently with GETEX 2012 will connect graduates & mature students with academia from specialized schools and entrepreneurs, management executives and consultants from industry. Topics of discussion include:

• Excellence in Business & Finance
• Excellence in Medicine and Healthcare
• Excellence in Engineering
• Excellence on Management

These forums are aimed at putting a focus on each subject area and will:

• Serve as a platform for you to interact with undergraduate & postgraduate students
• Encourage young people to pursue and develop a career though further and specialized study
• Encourage young graduates to think out-of-the-box
• Provide students with resources that will assist them shape their future in terms of study and career options
• Develop leadership and encourage entrepreneurship as well as employment in public and private industry sectors

Each forum will begin with a registration process followed by a series of presentations by professionals from academia and industry. The presenters, all leaders in their respective fields, will discuss a range of issues including challenges and obstacles faced by new graduates, career trends and other issues facing the relevant professions today.  Each presentation will be followed by an interactive Q&A session and literature hand-outs.

The forums are open to undergraduate and postgraduate students and young working professionals.
